Selling your house?
We're sorry to see you leave but wish you the best of luck with your new home. In addition to all the new owner things you did when you purchased, here's a few things to keep in mind.
The status certificate is a document, as per Section 76 of the Ontario Condo Act, that provides information concerning the financial status of a unit and of the condo corporation. Its main focus is to inform a prospective owner of the fees, of any large increase that is going to come into effect, of any special assessment that is being contemplated by the board, and any arrears or lien that a particular unit might have.
A request for a status certificate must be submitted 5 days in advance and the $100 fee must be paid to the Board Treasurer.
