You can find out what goes to the curb next here.
Note: In January 2016, Peel Region switched to carts for garbage. However, like other condo corporations, Bent Oak Circle continues to use plastic bags for waste collection due to the narrow internal roadways.
Bent Oak Circle households may place a combined total of two (2) garbage bags, garbage containers or small bundles of wood at the curb. Excess garbage must be tagged except during exemption periods.
Garbage pickup is typically biweekly on Tuesdays alternating with recycling but see here for precise dates and exemption periods.
An unlimited amount of recycling may be placed at the curb in blue transparent recycling bags. Items placed in other containers, such as the old blue/grey boxes, will not be collected.
Recycling pickup is typically biweekly on Tuesdays alternating with garbage but see here for precise dates and exceptions.
Yard waste can be placed at the curb either in rigid reusable bins/containers clearly labelled Yard Waste or in brown paper bags specifically designed for yard waste. Bins/containers will be emptied and returned while brown paper bags will not be returned.
Yard waste pickup is offered seasonally. See here for precise dates.
For oversized batteries, furniture, appliances, batteries, and hazardous waste, please visit the Region of Peel Other Waste Collection Services page for information on how to properly dispose of these items.
